This Privacy Policy explains what information Shake (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Shake you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account details — your email address, username, and display name, provided when you sign up. We verify your email with a one-time code.
• Profile content — an optional avatar image and profile information you add.
• Activity — bets you create or join, ShakeBucks balances, friends, groups, and outcomes, so the app can function.
• Optional location — if you enable the “Nearby” feature, your approximate location, used only to show nearby activity. You can turn this off in your device settings.
• Device & notification data — a push-notification identifier and basic device information, so we can deliver notifications you opt into.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account and verify your email.
• To operate core features — bets, ShakeBucks, friends, groups, leaderboards, and notifications.
• To keep Shake safe, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.

How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run Shake (such as cloud hosting, email delivery, and push notifications), and only as needed to provide the service or when required by law. Other users see the profile and activity you choose to share with them (for example, bets you join or groups you’re in).

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing hello@getshake.dev; we will delete it except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations.

Security

We protect your data with measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords and verification codes, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Children

Shake is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices

You can edit your profile in the app, control location and notification permissions in your device settings, and request account deletion at any time.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
